So, that bottle of wine you have been saving for a special occasion finally got opened. However, there’s still some wine left in the bottle that you can’t bring yourself to get rid of. If you want to preserve your wine, here are a few tips to keep it safe and fresh for as long as possible.
Properly Re-Cork the Bottle
This is one of the golden rules in wine preservation. You must place the cork correctly, which means placing the wine-stained side of the cork back onto the bottle. The side that has not been soaked in wine may not be as clean as it looks and can taint your remaining wine if it is introduced to it.
Use Smaller Bottles
