In this city of over 6 million people, the activities, culture, and spirit are rich.
But what do you need to pack? Read on for our guide on things to bring on vacation to Miami.
5 Things to Bring on Vacation
Here’s the go-to list of things to pack in your bag for your Miami vacation. Don’t forget sunscreen and leave room for souvenirs!
1. Dress the Part
Did you know there are over 200 different clubs in the city? And no packing list for Miami would be complete without party dresses. And every day is a party in Florida.
Live it Miami with a wardrobe fit for the best parties, clubs, and dances!
When selecting a party dress, remember it should reflect your personal style, but be elevated.
2. Pool/Beach Attire
Whether you’re packing an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini or a bay watch style one piece, make sure to pack your sexiest swimmer for your trip to Miami!
You’ll also need a pair of sandals, a coverup, sunglasses, and a hat.
Check with your accommodations to see if you’ll be provided with a towel.
If you prefer a calmer nature experience, then try enjoying one of the 80 parks and gardens in the city.
3. Toiletries
Normal humidity levels in Miami range from 61-83%. And it isn’t called the sunshine state for nothing!
You’ll want to pack your regular toiletries. But here are a few extra toiletries to keep yourself comfortable and clean:
- Deodorant with Antiperspirant (to help keep your pits dry and smelling fresh)
- Sunscreen (it’s the sunshine state after all)
- Body Powder (helps remove sand from sticky skin)
- Lotion (moisturizes skin after salty water)
- Aloe Vera (helps relieve pain from sunburn)
- Bug Spray (Florida is known to have a mosquito or two)
Don’t get caught in any tropical, beach location without these toiletry essentials.
4. Rain Gear
Although it is called the sunshine state, fall-spring travelers should be prepared for occasional rain.
Take a compact umbrella that can fit in a purse or bag. We also recommend a small, lightweight rain jacket.
If you do get rained out of a beach day then you can visit one of Miami’s 40+ museums.
Hurricane season in Florida ranges from mid-August to late October, so make sure to keep track of weather forecasts and adjust plans if necessary.
5. Functional Clothes
While the clubs are one of Miami’s main attractions, you’ll need some more functional clothing for the other sights the city has to offer.
Make sure to pack a pair of closed-toe shoes, comfortable pants, a jacket, etc.
Time to Go!
Now that you know the things to bring on vacation to Miami, it’s time to pack your bags!
